Hardware specialist Caldwell UK is continuing its strong business momentum in 2016, reporting growth across the business in its most recent accounts.
Caldwell’s turnover is up 5% on their last year of trading. Senior staff say this is a result of significant investment in the business over the past 12 months, which has seen Caldwell take on eight new staff, launch seven new products and win several new accounts.
“In between launching new innovations to the UK market, attending trade shows around the world and strengthening the Caldwell sales team, it feels like we haven’t stopped this year.
“We have brought on several new accounts but our growth has also increased in tandem with some of our existing key customers.
“Our commitment to innovation has also seen us shortlisted for the G-Awards and is another step on our journey to become the world’s number one total hardware supplier.”
This year, Caldwell launched a record seven new products. These include the Sinidex parallel hinge, a new hardware range for VS windows, a bi-fold hinge, next generation spring balances for VS windows and a never before seen innovation in the UK market – the FoldUp window.
Caldwell is part of the Caldwell Group – a global leader in specialist hardware, which has its headquarters in Rochester, New York.
Following positive feedback from the US market, Caldwell has been pioneering its automated systems in the UK after identifying a market here for automated windows and doors.
The company launched its OmniDrive automated system for casement windows, and Ingenuity for VS windows, and showcased prototypes of these product for the first time at the FIT Show in April, where they received positive feedback from fabricators.
Caldwell also recently showcased its automated hardware at the industry’s largest trade event, GlassBuild in Las Vegas.
Eric Mertz, CEO of the Caldwell Group, comments: “It has been an incredibly successful year for Caldwell. Automated hardware is set to hit the UK market in a big way and we’re at the forefront of this. “
